Sheila R. Jacobs, Principal

Welcome to the Russellville High School website! As the principal of RHS, I invite you to explore and stay informed about our school. I am proud to be a RHS graduate (1984) and happy to be part of a community of people who make students and their needs a top priority. We are a community of educators who are fully committed to helping each student discover his/her unique talents, grow in knowledge, and develop skills and dispositions needed for success in academics and in life. The secondary education experience in Russellville is characterized by strong support systems, positive role models, rigorous and relevant curriculum and instruction, and an emphasis on personalized learning. Whether you are interested in biomedical, computer science, engineering, social sciences, business, the arts, or leadership development, RHS offers a wide array of courses and specialized programs that are characterized by relevant and rigorous curriculum and instruction. In Russellville schools, we take pride in the fact that we are committed to helping all students find their career interest and create a plan to pursue their academic and career goals. At Russellville High School, we have a designated period devoted to career, finance, and personal exploration. During this period, our students are actively developing a career portfolio and are participating in “real-world” lessons including topics such as:

  • Dos and Don’ts of Job Interviews
  • Making YOUR Resume Stand Out
  • Knowing Your Learning Style, Personal Strengths, and Aptitudes
  • What Career Choices Match YOU?
  • Establishing and Maintaining Good Credit
  • What YOUR Social Media Says About YOU
  • Exploring Scholarship Opportunities
  • Observing Various Professionals on the Job (learning through video)

Russellville High School, in conjunction with RJHS and the ATU Career Center, offers 20 distinct career pathways including Securities and Investments, Engineering, Biomedical Science, Welding Technology, Criminal Justice, JROTC, and Computer Science. In addition to the many distinct pathways we offer, we have a Teacher Cadet class that affords classroom and field experience to students interested in pursuing education as a career.

We are putting action to our belief that every student deserves a personalized education that results in a successful and productive life. Our aim is to educate, equip, and empower every student who walks through our doors! Please do not hesitate to call our office (479-968-3151) if we can assist you in any way.
