*The Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) recognizes the 1933 Cyclones (9-0-0) as one of three schools as state football champions that season during the pre-classification playoff era (1905-1946). News media (Arkansas Gazette and Arkansas Democrat newspapers) polls were the primary means to recognize state championships in football, basketball, track and field, and any other sport. The other schools named as 1933 football champions were El Dorado (10-0-1) and Searcy (10-0). The current football playoff era began in 1970. There were some playoffs during the 1948-1950 school years at the beginning of the "letter" classification system implemented by AAA in 1947.

** Neither indoor track and field or gymnastics are currently recognized by the AAA in terms of state championships. According to RHS Hall of Fame Coach Don Carnahan (1967-2007), RHS won seven state indoor track and field championships (boys and girls) between 1997 and 2006, and one girls gymnastics title in 2007.
