Physical Education and Health

One semester of P.E. and one semester of Health is required for graduation from RHS. The physical education program emphasizes health-related fitness, lifetime activities, and motor skill development. While Health and Safety focuses on content and learning experiences in nutrition, disease prevention, human growth and development, healthy life skills, personal health and safety, community health and promotion, decision-making skills, interpersonal communication skills and information regarding the use and abuse of medications, alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Each of these courses are one semester.

COURSES OFFERED AT RHS INCLUDE: 

  • Physical Education - 10th, 11th, and 12th (semester course)

  • Health and Safety - 10th, 11th, and 12th (semester course)

  • Fitness for Life - 10th, 11th, and 12th (semester course)

  • Drivers Education - 10th, 11th, and 12th (semester course)
