RSD is excited to announce that Tearsa Callahan has been named the new principal of Russellville Intermediate School (RIS) beginning the 2025-2026 school year.

Mrs. Callahan has served as an Assistant Principal at Russellville Middle School for the last two years, where she focused on supporting teachers and ensuring high academic standards for students. Prior to her leadership role, Mrs. Callahan spent six years as an elementary teacher, teaching both third grade at Center Valley Elementary School and 4th grade at Mountain View Elementary School.

“Tearsa Callahan is a passionate and dedicated leader who puts students first. Her ability to connect with teachers, students, and families makes her an outstanding choice to lead Russellville Intermediate School,” commented Dr. Ginni McDonald, RSD Superintendent.

She is a certified Science of Reading Assessor, has completed RISE 3-6 training, and participated in the Arch Ford Principal Preparation program.

Mrs. Callahan commented, “I believe in the potential of every student at RIS, and I look forward to working alongside our amazing educators to help each child reach new heights.”
