Russellville School District is proud to announce that Mrs. Sara Walker has been named the new Principal of Russellville Junior High School (RJHS) beginning the 2025-2026 school year. Mrs. Walker, an experienced educator and leader within the district, brings a deep commitment to student success, instructional excellence, and fostering a positive school culture.

Mrs. Walker has served as the Assistant Principal of RJHS since 2023 and previously held an Assistant Principal role at Russellville Middle School from 2020 to 2023. Mrs. Walker has served in Education for 18 years, beginning her career as a Language Arts Teacher at Russellville Middle School in 2007. In total, Mrs. Walker has served 18 years in RSD!

"We are thrilled to have Sara Walker step into the role of principal at RJHS," said RSD Superintendent Dr. Ginni McDonald. "Her passion for student achievement, innovative leadership, and dedication to our school community will serve her well in leading the Junior High into the future."

Walker holds an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, a Master of Education in Instructional Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Education with an English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement. She is a National Board Certified Teacher, a Google for Education Trainer, and a Crisis Prevention Institute Trainer. Throughout her career, she has been committed to being an integral part of RSD's strategic initiatives, integrating technology into Education, and ensuring all students have access to high-quality instruction.

Mrs. Walker has been married to Mr. Zach Walker, RSD IT Operations Team Lead, for 18 years. Together, they have two children, Khloe and Grey, who proudly attend RSD schools. Their shared passion for Education and student achievement makes them a valued part of the Russellville school family.

"I am honored and excited to serve as the Principal of Russellville Junior High School," said Walker. "Our students, teachers, and staff are doing incredible things, and I look forward to continuing to support their growth, achievement, and success in the years ahead."
