The Russellville School District is excited to share that the Arvest Foundation awarded a total of $10,000 in grant funding to support students across our district!
🌻 Oakland Heights Elementary received $5,000 to transform its courtyard garden into an outdoor classroom! Led by Science Specialist Amy McGahee, the OHE Garden Club will explore hands-on gardening concepts, including soil composition and pollination, while planting seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs, and pollinator-friendly plants. This space will also provide outdoor learning opportunities for teachers and students throughout the school.
❤️ An additional $5,000 was awarded to support the district’s homeless liaison in purchasing basic needs and essential supplies for students experiencing homelessness across Russellville School District.
We are grateful to the Arvest Foundation for investing in our students and helping provide meaningful learning experiences and essential resources to support student success!
