hybrid masks

Tuesday, September 21, 2021

Russellville Board of Education unanimously voted that beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, September 22, 2021, that masks will be STRONGLY RECOMMENDED, but not required.

When a building’s population (staff & students) is identified as having 2% or higher of positive cases OR 10% of the total population is quarantined, masks will be required for 3 weeks within that building.

  • If at the end of 3 weeks the building is BELOW 2%, the building will go back to having masks recommended, instead of required.

  • If at the end of the 3 weeks the building is BELOW 10% of total population quarantined and is BELOW 2% positive, the building will go back to having masks recommended, instead of required.

  • If at the end of 3 weeks, the building continues to be at 2% or above, masks will be required until cases are below the 2% threshold.

This policy will remain in effect through the first semester of the 2021-22 school. The Russellville School Board and Superintendent reserve the right to review the effectiveness of this policy and make adjustments as needed.

In the event of an emergency situation involving large numbers of positive cases, the Russellville School District Superintendent may make adjustments to this policy as needed on a short-term basis.
