Hello Dwight families!
As we wrap up the end of the first semester, I want to give you a few more details about events during the next three days:
Wednesday we will have Robb McCormick visit us in the morning for school-wide Christmas caroling at 8:30 in the cafeteria. That afternoon at 1:30, we will have our school talent show. Parents are welcome to attend. We will slightly adjust the lunch schedule so that we have time to clean the cafeteria and set up for the afternoon.
K, 1st, and 2nd grades will eat lunch at their regular time.
3rd and 4th graders will eat lunch from 11:50-12:20.
Thursday we will have rotations for every grade level all morning. Stations will include Christmas playdough sculptures, Christmas story time, Christmas draw-along and charades, Christmas p.e. games, and free play.
Lunch times will be adjusted on Thursday:
K - 11:10-11:40
1st/2nd grade - 11:45-12:15
3rd/4th grade - 12:20-12:50
Friday all classes will have Christmas parties at 2:00. Parents are welcome to attend. If siblings are not of school-age and do not attend our PreK, they are allowed to come. If they are of school-age or are enrolled in our PreK, then they need to go to their school/class of attendance because their school is in session. Please know, though, that the classes plan and prepare for the number of students in the classroom and may not have extras for younger siblings.
If parents who attend parties plan to take home their child afterwards, you will need to come to the office first to sign them out according to our school procedures, and then the office will call down to the classroom for them to walk up to you.
After our break, school will resume on Monday, January 8th with our smart start time of 8:30 for regular drop off, and school beginning at 8:50.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Mrs. Malin

We are rebuilding and launching our PTO this week! We would love to have your participation. Our first meeting will be Tuesday November 14 at noon. You will not be asked to be in charge, take an office, or pressured to lead a committee. This will simply be a time to build relationships and get your input on what our families would like to see in a new Dwight PTO. Come join us and help us create a partnership to serve our students at Dwight!

Dwight Elementary Fourth Graders experienced their classroom reading lessons come to life on their Field Trip to the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock.
While visiting the State Capitol, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders spoke with the Lil' Cyclones. Students also met Senator Breanne Davis who gave students a tour of the Senate. Additionally, students also toured the House of Representatives and the State Treasury.
Thank you to the staff at the Arkansas State Capitol for welcoming Lil' Cyclone students, staff, and family. Thank you, RSD, for providing the opportunity!

Smiles as numerous as the leaves at the spontaneous morning recess Leaf Party!
Thank you, Mrs. Curtis, for capturing such a joyful moment!

Lil' Cyclones work so hard to display a committment to their learning! Look at Ms. Claire's students managing our Cyclone Cart.
When students are showing their dedication to maintaining an environment of positive relationships and learning, they are rewarded for their efforts.
Students earn Cyclone Bucks for demonstrating "The Cyclone Way." They can spend their Bucks at the weekly Cyclone Cart or save them to spend at the biannual Cyclone Store.

Celebrating Cyclones is always a fun time!
Friends and Family, thank you for celebrating with us!
